Professional Dental Cleaings & Exams

Our professional dental cleanings are performed by one of our experienced Dental Hygienists. The cleaning process is an important step in maintaining the health and appearance of your smile! It includes the removal of built-up calculus and plaque on the teeth and gums which cannot be removed at home with simple brushing and flossing. The teeth will also be polished.

Your dental exam will be performed by Dr. Taggart. This exam will include a review of dental X-rays, an inspection of any existing fillings or crowns, a checkup of the gums, an analysis of any tooth decay, and an oral cancer screening. Based on your personal needs and concerns, Dr. Taggart will provide oral hygiene recommendations and discuss follow up treatments as needed.

Fillings enable Dr. Taggart to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay and improve the tooth’s appearance and function. In addition to the traditional gold and silver fillings, Dr. Taggart and his staff provide tooth-colored material for restorative procedures that help your smile look as natural as possible.

night-guard.png
Occlusal guards, or night guards, are worn over the teeth during sleep to prevent tooth damage caused by chronic clenching and grinding. In addition to damage, these unconscious habits often cause pain and discomfort in the teeth and jaw. Rather than offering a standard, mass-produced night guard, Dr. Taggart and his staff will prepare a custom night guard to help you alleviate these symptoms.

Dental radiographs (x-rays) are an essential, preventative tool that provide valuable information not readily visible during a routine dental exam.

Dr. Taggart and his staff use modern, digital x-rays to obtain a much more thorough and precise view of the health and condition of your teeth.

Dental x-rays may reveal any abscesses or cysts, bone loss, cancerous tumors, tooth decay, and any developmental abnormalities inside a tooth or below the visible gum line.

When a tooth is cracked, broken, or weakened significantly, a crown can protect and strengthen the natural tooth and restore its shape and function in ways that a filling cannot. Crowns are made with high-quality porcelain or ceramic to ensure your tooth looks and functions as naturally as possible.

Bridges can fully restore your smile when one or more teeth are missing. A bridge replaces these missing teeth and can make a significant difference in your bite as well as your ability to chew and speak.

When a tooth cannot be saved, often an implant is a wonderful solution.

Veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells designed to cover the front side of the teeth to improve their appearance. They are used to enhance your smile when teeth are chipped, stained, or poorly shaped.
